Facilitation I have been having a lot of fun lately video conferencing with Skype for Mac and with Face Time for Mac. Both are easy to use and I am amazed at the quality. I can see many uses for these tools at face to face meetings and in contracting with clients and teams.
Coaching seems to be a natural fit. But easy, fast, and portable video conferencing could also be used to show meeting venues, set-ups, and activities. With Face Time, you have the advantage of it working between an iPhone and a mac, which makes showing the details of a venue very easy.
In Face to Face meetings we can project Face Time to the group, allowing guests to appear and answer questions in real time. If we follow the presentation with a link to The Hive, we can capture the participants comments in real time. Makes for an extraordinary coupling or high touch and high tech.
It's difficult to stay up on all these disruptive changes in technology, but doing so will help to make your faciliation and Action Research skills much more current. Keep exploring!
