    Advanced Brainstorming

Some new ideas for advanced brainstorming. Research suggests that brainstorming virtually always generates more ideas and better ideas than brainstorming together in a small group. Given this research, here are some ideas for making this happen is a smooth and seamless process at your next meeting.
Pre-load your meeting with a brainstorming session in The Hive. Remember you can have several brainstorming buckets within one Hive Storm.

When the results come in, collect all the information in each of the buckets and then create a “Check Vote” on the ideas.

Allow enough time for members to prioritize the information in Check Vote.

Open the meeting by revealing the data collected in each of the buckets and then review the prioritization.

Use the time at the meeting to do a sanity check at and to go deeper in you discussions. You will find that your team members have given the topics advanced thought. You will have deeper and more meaningful discussions.

Another idea is to take the prioritized ideas and mind map them. Giving them a new life graphically will give new energy to the discussion.
